Last year, I made a flower crown out of artificial flowers that I found at a thrift store. This actually became a trend during the summer and you saw it everywhere on the internet (pinterest: flower crown), but it seems that it's holding on, still. I feel like it's getting a little old though, and wanted to do something else. The idea was brought to life when I was out in the woods taking a winter walk with dad and the dogs. Fir! How awesome wouldn't it be to make a fir crown. I knew it wouldn't last as long as my flower crown (that I still have and use every now and then), but I wanted to give it a try. Here's how I did it!
This is what you need: 1. fir branches 2. Wire (I found green, awesome!) 3. String.
You make a round of the wire that is the
size of the finished crown you want. Make sure it
fits your head right. Then you simply
put tiny branches on and
secure them with string. Make sure the branches overlap, making it
as thick or as thin as you wish.
Secure the string at the end (forgot to take a picture of that.. but you cut the string, and tie knots)
Put it in your hair, and VOILÀ!
Then you can have a photo shoot with yourself:
And lastly, you need to make a funny face. Have to.
