...Is turning anguish into productivity

This morning they called from the substitute teacher organization and asked if I wanted to sub in English, French and Spanish at a middle school. But I declined it, because I just felt such anxiety and anguish when I heard the word "middle school". After I hung up I immediately felt bad for turning down a work opportunity. I laid in bed and stared at the ceiling for a while, and called Linnea. We had a good talk and at the end I felt much better. We agreed on that I should try to make the best out of this day instead of punishing myself for not working. So right after we hung up, I made coffee and two crisp bread sandwiches and sat down outside in the sun and gave myself time to breathe.
While I was out there, I decided to replant my flowers. Said and done, I pulled out all the flowers and the new pots and BAM! It was done in 20 minutes. I then searched Blocket (Swedish Craigslist, kinda) to see if there were any bikes for sale. After a while I found one, so this afternoon I will go into town, buy my bike and then ride it all the way home to Värmdö. It feels totally crazy to ride a bike for that long (I'm guessing it will take me 2-3 hours), but also fun. I'm bringing Fika and my bike lights plus reflex vest, in case darkness falls before I'm home.

So I really turned this day into an adventure and productivity, which feels wonderful. I'll keep you posted on the bike adventure. I'm planning on stopping here and there to take pictures of my surroundings so you can get the feel for how I live these days.
